Hi! Yes, you missed some cool spots indeed.For example, Liepaja with its beach (much better than Jurmala I would say), churches, nice location on peninsula between the sea, lake and 4 channels. And absolutely crazy and beautiful former secret military town of Karosta with scenic fortresses on the sea shore, cathedral, palace, temporary art gallery, windsurfing club, prison where can stay overnight and feel like prisoner etc…

..and also Ventspils is a nice, beautiful town. And again - I dont understand why all travel guides mention Jurmala. Its crappy. Well, maybe because its the closest beach to Riga. But dear travellers, if you can, go to the western Latvia beaches, they are so much better than Jurmala…

Well thanks for the suggestion about western sea side. I agree, there’s plenty of nice spots and places to hide from peepz. I’ll try to write something about them too!
